The Clear Creek Amana School District allows trap shooting as a letter earning activity. However, it is not a school sanctioned sport; therefore, it is not funded by the district and each student athlete and his/her family is responsible to pay for their equipment and shotgun shells.
Funds raised by the CCA Trap Team and through the Amana Sportsman Club pay for practice clays and entry fees for and transportation to competitions. Estimates for a student to participate in trap shooting range from $600 to $2000+, depending on the level of involvement and the number of disciplines (singles, handicap, doubles).
The Midway USA Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity with a mission to help communities and organizations raise funds to support their high school, college, and other youth shooting teams and activities.
The CCA Trap Team participates in Midway USA Foundation’s primary fundraising program - the Team Endowment. The Team Endowment Account Program gives our community the ability to financially support our shooting sports program.
All donations are matched, which helps grow the account. The team can then request a grant of up to 5% of their endowment account balance once each year to pay for team expenses.
Please consider becoming a sponsor of our team to help offset the cost of student’s participation.
